“Fable 5.5 Max”: a pelican demo and a claim about Claude Code

A bicycle-riding pelican, followed by an animated SVG, accompanies a claim that “Fable 5.5 Max” is coming to Claude Code. The author has shown the result, but not the model behind it.

A pelican riding a bicycle is the latest image attached to speculation about “Fable 5.5 Max”. On 30 October, an X account named can (@marmaduke091) posted the illustration alongside a prompt requesting an SVG and claimed the model would come to Claude Code soon.

Fable is already an official name. Claude’s pricing page lists Fable, and its Ultra help page describes a separate Fable allowance. Neither source verifies this “5.5 Max” label, the pelican’s provenance or its claimed arrival date.

The author later added an eight-second clip labelled “Animated, still SVG”. That makes this more interesting than a single drawing: SVG can describe shapes and motion as editable code, which people can inspect, adjust and reuse. But a displayed animation is not the same as access to the underlying file.

Neither post supplies an inspectable SVG or a generation log. We cannot tell how many attempts were made, what was edited afterward or whether the advertised model produced the work. A release in Claude Code would be the consequential part of this claim: users could try the model on their own projects. For now, the timing and the “5.5 Max” identity remain the author’s assertion.
